Designed by Stockholm-based TAF Studio for Muuto, the Midst Marble Table was launched in 2025, retaining the original Midst round design and elegant silhouette. Inspired by an iconic architectural detail, the table's refined look is simple yet characteristic. The table is composed of a round-shaped tabletop and a column-like base. The round tabletop easily sits on a column-like base ensuring its stability.
Crafted with a honed grey marble top and a powder-coated spun steel base finished in durable high gloss, this table’s distinctive materials create a refined focal point for any space. A pre-installed rubber ring beneath the base safeguards floors from scratches. Combining solid craftsmanship with a sleek design, the Midst Marble Table offers versatility, adding warmth and energy to its surroundings. Its sturdy build makes it suitable for a variety of uses, from a creative studio desk to a dining surface.
TAF Studio on the design: "Midst Table is a meeting between the poetic and functional. The name refers to the centre of the table being a gravitational point, while its round shape cancels out hierarchy — there is no head of the table. Its shape naturally draws us in towards its middle, encouraging a meeting of minds and eyes. Our design process was one of subtraction and refinement. The Midst Table’s form and construction were inspired by an iconic architectural feature, the column, merging physical stability and steadfastness with a sense of elegance."
