The MOEBE KUMU Table series is a family of flat-packed wooden cafe and dining tables, defined by a distinctive stainless steel pin connection. The simple, visible construction allows the connection between oak and steel to become part of the table’s character rather than being hidden away. With a high quality finish, functional flat-pack joinery and a simple, elegant frame, the Kumu series perfectly embodies what we think of with the fusion word 'Japandi'.
Made from solid oak, each table features pins that pass all the way through the wooden leg frames, creating a subtle contrast between steel and wood while drawing the structure firmly together and keeping the screw heads hidden. This same connection forms part of the finished design and allows the tables to be delivered flat-packed and assembled into a strong, rigid structure.
The solid oak tabletop and base give the KUMU Cafe Table a simple and robust construction, while the stainless steel fittings add a contrasting material detail. Adjustable feet allow the table to be levelled on uneven floors, helping it sit securely in a range of settings. Available with either a square or round tabletop, it is well suited to coffee breaks, casual dining, conversation or everyday work, making it a practical choice for both home and public spaces.
