Designed by Danish designer Simon Legald, the Kube Sofa is inspired by mid-century styles where exposed frames define the overall design. Reimagined for modern living, it brings together classic form and contemporary character. With its cubistic, almost brutalist frame, the Kube Sofa is softened by plush cushions that rest loosely on the seat, back and armrests.
With a flat pack design, the sofa is easy to transport and assemble. The frame is made from pine planks and is assembled using screws, which are then concealed with wooden dowels to maintain a clean and elegant appearance. The sofa is also designed to be fully disassembled and reassembled when needed, offering both flexibility and longevity.
Comprised of a UV-lacquered solid pine or dark brown stained pine frame, the Kube Sofa features generously filled cushions with a blend of foam and feathers, ensuring a comfortable and inviting experience. It can be upholstered in a range of high-quality textiles or leather. Over time, the pine will develop a natural patina, adding to its unique and organic appeal. The sofa’s floating design makes it easy to clean underneath and brings a sense of visual lightness to the space.
The open frame design offers a sculptural and minimal appearance from all sides, while the gaps between the planks expose the cushions and make the fabric visible from every angle. This allows for versatile placement, from positioning it against a wall to using it more freely within the space.
