Designed by Belgian artist duo Muller Van Severen, the Alu Chair was originally created for Anne Holtrop’s Bahrain Pavilion at the World Expo in Milan. Its clean lines and elegant form make it equally well-suited to both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Constructed from a lightweight uncoated aluminium frame and finished with a UV-protected colour lacquer on the aluminium seat and back, the Alu Chair is built to withstand outdoor conditions and retain its vibrancy and appearance over time. Featuring a flat, rectangular seat and a sloped base, it provides balanced support while maintaining a minimal profile.
The gently inclined backrest softens the overall form and supports a relaxed sitting position, while the angled seat encourages a natural posture. Muller Van Severen’s signature colour hues bring a playful yet sophisticated presence, enhancing the chair’s sculptural appeal. A coloured panel is also visible from the back and creates a bold contrast that stands out from every angle.
The chair is available in a single-colour finish or with a contrasting seat and backrest.
