The shell of the Series 7 chair, crafted from pressure-moulded beech veneer, comprises nine layers. Its base, made from 14mm steel tubes, features legs that are discreetly mounted to a circular disc beneath the seat, enhancing the clean, minimalist aesthetic of Jacobsen's design. The base is available in six different finishes, while the front shell offers various upholstery options. The back shell comes in three different finishes: clear or colour lacquered wood, and coloured ash. Thanks to this variety of options, the chair can be customised to suit the interior design of any space.

Materials/Construction
Shell - Pressure-moulded veneer, comprising 9 layers of veneer. The shell is padded with polyurethane (PUR) foam. A water-soluble glue is used for bonding of upholstery to the foam and foam to the shell.
Base - 14mm steel tube base, mounted black support spacers and a black cover cap. Available in chromed steel or powder-coated steel.
Glides - Plastic in black colour.
This chair is currently available in the following fabrics and leathers - a small selection of which are shown on the product listing. Upholstery is grouped by number 1-3 for both fabrics and leathers; the higher the number the greater the cost. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote if you would like a fabric listed here which isn't available to buy online.
