Designed by Milan–Brussels architecture studio Piovenefabi, the La Quattro (The Four) Wall Lamp draws inspiration from the iconic handrail of the Milan metro. First presented at the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial, the design transforms a familiar element of public transport into a playful and contemporary lighting piece.
Characterised by its bold tubular structure, the La Quattro Wall Lamp combines straight lines with gentle curves to create a playful, sculptural form. Designed to be mounted on the wall, the lamp features a small exposed light source at the end of its curved tube, directing light towards the wall. The soft, indirect glow creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Made from powder-coated steel, the lamp features a smooth, colourful finish. An on-cord switch allows for easy operation. With its simple construction and vibrant colours, the lamp combines practical lighting with an expressive design.
The Lamp is available in four colours inspired by the Milan metro. Its sculptural form makes it a distinctive addition to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and other interior spaces, providing ambient lighting while also serving as a playful decorative element.
The collection also includes other table lamp designs, La Due, La Tre e Mezzo and La Tre, as well as a floor lamp.
