Designed by Taiwanese designer Yuchen Wu, the Knit Armchair combines soft, sculptural forms with technical innovation. Built with sustainability in mind, it is made for easy disassembly, allowing each material such as textile, foam, wood and steel to be separated and reused or recycled after years of use. This ensures durability through thoughtful design and responsible material use.
Constructed from a powder-coated steel frame with a wooden structure layered in foam, the chair is designed for both durability and comfort. The gently curved backrest follows the natural contour of the body, supporting extended periods of sitting. Upholstered in Kvadrat’s Myr knitted textile, the seat and backrest are seamlessly wrapped in the flexible fabric, creating a smooth, wrinkle-free surface. The bold, softly rounded seat contrasts with the slender frame, giving the chair an elegant balance and graceful silhouette from every angle.
