The Fayland Table was developed by critically acclaimed Architect, David Chipperfield, for a residential project in the English Countryside. Fayland House is a contemporary dwelling characterised with a pure use of materials. Likewise the table is pure and simple in form, celebrating the natural beauty of timber. The piece is part of a furniture family that also includes the Fawley Bench and Langley Stool, all share the same signature horizontal bracing with no visible joints or screws.
Fayland, Fawley and Langley furniture is available in either oiled oak, white pigmented waxed oak or oiled walnut. There is also a black stained version available on request. Made of solid wood, the constructive details are at the core of table's refined design - combining the shared aesthetics of e15 and David Chipperfield. Careful thought has been given to each element of the design, including the tables ends that extend over the frame and create an additional seating place. With it minimal, clean design the Fayland table is suitable for either a domestic or public interiors.
David Chipperfield CBE, is an RIBA Gold Medal award winning British Architect with practices in London, Berlin, Milan and Shanghai. David began collaborating with e15 in 2015 and has since released additional pieces with a similar approach at the 2016 IMM furniture fair in Cologne.
