This product listing is for the additional leaves and leg to fit HAY's CPH30 Extendable Dining Table.

Part of the Copenhague range designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, he CPH 30 Extendable Table shares the same characteristic angled legs and strong identity that is consistent with the rest of the collection, yet its extendable design sets it apart. The CPH collection has a homely, welcoming expression and functional qualities such as stackability, durability and ease of cleaning - making the table a perfect choice for a modern, busy home. The Bouroullec brothers approached the design of Copenhague by merging design history with modern technology in an idiom with a strong and independent appearance. The result is a broad and versatile table series.

Depending on the basic length of the table, it can be extended by up to four insert leaves. A support leg is required when adding more than two extension leaves. The leg is inserted into a steel keyhole bracket on the slide mechanism. The option of extension leaves can easily be inserted into the table's central sliding mechanism, allowing the table to be extended to the required length. The table's flexible length makes it suitable for offices and public contexts, as well as workspace or dining solutions in home environments. The table also has a locking mechanism to the underside of the tabletop to ensure the table's stability when it is extended.

Please note: in Autumn 2024 the specification of HAY CPH Tabletops has changed from a plywood construction to an MDF construction. The visual change is subtle but many images will show the older plywood model.

Materials/Construction

Leaf - Linoleum or laminate top with water-based lacquered MDF edge matching frame colour.

Support leg - Solid beech wood with black water-based lacquer. Featuring adjustable glider.

Hay furniture is now treated with an eco-friendly water-based lacquer, it replaces the options of 'Matt Lacquer' and 'Clear Lacquer'. Visually the 'Water-Based Lacquer' treatment appears somewhere between the two previous lacquers; slightly more glossy than the matt finish, but not as glossy or warm in tone as the clear lacquer. Where the new treatment is used it will also always be applied to FSC certified wood sourced from sustainable forests. Together the material fulfils the EU Ecolabel requirements.

    Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

There are few, if any, designers as well renowned and respected as Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec - often known simply as the Bouroullec Brothers. Ronan is a graduate of the École supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École nationale supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio together in Paris.

The design duo started their practice as joint partners in 1999 and quickly established a reputation for offering a new perspective on materiality and purpose. Since then they have worked with some of the world’s most illustrious design brands, creating products which are already considered to be future classics. Their work ranges from small utilitarian objects to architectural projects. In...
