The Form & Refine Blueprint is an archetypical chair with highly considered features. Its simple silhouette belies carefully crafted details to achieve excellent comfort and practicality.

The chair is made from a solid (and sustainably sourced) oak frame with an upholstered seat covered in Kvadrat's Hallingdal fabric. The combination of strong, solid legs and the Hallingdal upholstery gives the chair a surprisingly light and stunningly sharp visual appearance. The curved backrest, made from a single piece of steam-bent wood, also provides maximum comfort.

There are no visible joins, screws, or bolts on the Blueprint Chair; its clever construction makes for a visually pure and minimal design. The chair can stack up to 5 pieces high, meaning it can be stored away in a cupboard or just be neatly arranged for ease of vacuuming underneath.

The chair is also available as a non-upholstered version.

    Herman Studio

    This product is designed by
    Herman Studio

Herman Studio was founded in 2012 by two architects; Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen. Their work spans from textile, ceramics, lighting and furniture design to interior design.

A characteristic of their design is each object's clear, distinct silhouette. Working with an identifiable outline for each object, makes the design stand out simply, clearly and recognisably. Their great passion for design is in addition to aesthetics, especially about construction and the use of materials. They work using a methodical and sequential process between sketches, models and prototypes. Their design process often starts by studying construction methods, which play a central role throughout the entire design process in their own workshop.
