The HAY About A Stool AAS 32 (Shell Bar Stool) has the same capacity for transformation as the other designs in the HAY About A series, ranging from a minimalistic plastic stool to a more full-bodied upholstered version. This model is characterised by a curved backrest and long, elegant wooden legs. Designed with optimal functionality in mind, the shell construction offers a deep, generous seat that combines inviting aesthetics with excellent comfort.

The shell is made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic derived from household waste, like television and washing machines. The plastic is collected, sorted and cleaned in recycling programmes before being reprocessed into About A Collection shells. Offered in a wide palette of contemporary colours, it provides a multitude of design combinations that give this series versatility in a wide range of home, corporate and public contexts. The optional AAS seat pads provide extra comfort. It is also available with a fully upholstered seat.

The About series is HAY's most versatile furniture series. It began with a chair and blossomed into a series with virtually unlimited potential. With the About series, Hee Welling has proven that a single strong idea can hold a wealth of development options. Today, the series includes dining and conference chairs, office chairs, bar stools, lounge chairs, tables, a footstool and a sofa. All are equally suitable for private and public settings.
