Originally designed by Finnish Architect Alvar Aalto in 1933 for Artek, the Aalto Table is a minimal and iconic Scandinavian design. Alvar Aalto was granted a patent for the method of bending wood in 1933: Aalto's invention of the 'L-leg' has made his table series famous. The structural L-bend legs are mounted directly to the underside of the table without the need for complicated connecting elements.
